How it compares
Kinboard and the other ways families keep track
Most families have tried at least one of these. We read hundreds of their app store reviews to see what parents find frustrating, and built Kinboard to avoid it.

What parents told us they were tired of
Subscriptions that creep up
Free plans quietly cut back to a month ahead, then the yearly price rises. Kinboard's diary is free for good and Pro is paid once.
Handing over the inbox
Assistants that read school emails usually need your whole inbox forwarded to their servers, where an AI reads it. Kinboard only sees what you choose to share, and reads it on your phone.
Wrong dates added without asking
When an app adds dates on its own, one mistake means a missed trip. Kinboard shows you what it found and waits for you.
Everything gone in one tap
A child with a phone can wipe the family calendar in some apps. In Kinboard every delete has Undo, and Recently deleted keeps things for 30 days.
Editing one week changes them all
Moving one swimming lesson shouldn't move the whole term. Kinboard asks: just this date, this date and after, or every date.
Too much on screen
Kinboard opens on today. Chores can be hidden, and nothing appears that you didn't add.
