Kinboard

For UK parents and carers

Every club, party and non-uniform day, in one place.

Kinboard is the family diary that reads school letters for you. Share a newsletter, scan a letter off the fridge or paste a club's calendar link, and the dates land in a diary the whole family can see.

Getting dates in

Four ways in, and typing is the last resort.

School news arrives by email, app, paper and the class WhatsApp. Kinboard takes it from wherever it turns up.

Share it

Tap Share on an email, a ParentMail message, a web page or a PDF and pick Kinboard.

Scan it

Point the camera at the paper letter in the book bag. It's read on your iPhone.

Link it

Add the school's or club's calendar link once, and new dates appear by themselves.

Say it

"Dentist for Ella next Tuesday at ten past five." Done, with a reminder.

You stay in charge

It finds the dates. You decide what goes in.

Kinboard picks out dates, times, who it's for and what to bring, then shows you the list before anything is added. Untick what doesn't apply to you, fix anything that looks wrong, and save.

The reading happens on your iPhone. Your letters aren't uploaded anywhere to be read, and nothing you add is used to train anything.

Questions

Things parents ask

Is there a subscription?

No. Kinboard is free, and Pro is a single payment of £4.99. You can try Pro free for 14 days first; the trial doesn't turn into a payment.

Does everyone in the family need to pay?

No. One Pro purchase is shared with your household through Apple's Family Sharing, and the free app already shares the diary with everyone you invite.

Do my children need phones?

No. Children don't have accounts. Grown-ups add things for them, and older children can see their chores and points on a parent's phone.

Does it use AI?

Kinboard has no chatbot and never sends your letters, emails or family details to an AI company. Letters are read on your iPhone with Apple's built-in text recognition.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Kinboard is for iPhone, running iOS 17 or later.

Does school search work outside England?

School search uses the Department for Education's list of schools in England. Families anywhere in the UK can still add their school by name and use everything else.
